Outlast 2 has been pushed back to 2017

Red Barrels want to take a bit more time with it.

Developer Red Barrels has
delayed the release of Outlast 2 and it is now due out in Q1 2017. Initially the release was scheduled for fall 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

"Our mission as an indie studio is to deliver to you the best, most terrifying, most fulfilling experiences possible. That's why we're taking just a little bit more time to make sure our vision for Outlast 2 is in no way compromised and is the experience you deserve", is the official explanation. They also state the following: "We promise Outlast 2 will scare the crap out of you."
