A couple of bidders revealed on Twitter they did not walk away with the Homeworld franchise following the bankruptcy of THQ.
Paradox Interactive's Fredrik Wester tweeted they finished third in the auction, while Stardock's Brad Wardell revealed they came in second.
Wester added that he expected the winner to be revealed in public shortly, but that he was not in a position to reveal who it was.
One guess of someone who ought to have interest in the franchise would be Sega - who picked up developers Relic Entertainment earlier in the year. But it could definitely be a PC focused strategy house like Stardock or Paradox, or perhaps even an Asian publisher.
