"Fuck you, Peter Molyneux. I want the money back that I kickstarted for Godus."
This is just one of the angry messages directed at Peter Molyneux on Reddit after the release of Godus.
A lot of fans feel cheated of the promised features (and content promised to Kickstarter backers). An artwork that was promised as part of the Kickstarter still hasn't surfaced and multiplayer appears to be very far from becoming a reality.
This feeling has been backed up by 22Cans designer, Konrad "FuriousMoo" Naszynski, who on the Godus Boards has stated:
"To be brutally candid and realistic I simply can't see us delivering all the features promised on the kickstarter page"
Meanwhile, Gamespot reports on key developers departing from 22Cans.
"As always happens in development, when you finish something and start something new, then you very often refresh your team. Sometimes you do that by asking some of your team to leave, and sometimes people on the team want to look elsewhere," he said to Gamespot.
"If you try and force people who are creative to do the same thing again and again and again, very often they get bored. I wish they didn't, but it happens with many game projects. What you don't want are people who are bored and tired to work on that project. You want passionate people, and that means recruiting those people."
Molyneux himself has apparently moved on to another project. Remains to be seen where the PC version of Godus ends up...
