If you belong in the category of people who fondly remember TimeSplitters 2 and its time-twisted world then you now have one more reason to check out the upcoming Homefront: The Revolution. The game's developer, Dambuster, has added an extra treat in its upcoming revolution-themed shooter (which you can read more about here)
and is offering up two levels from TimeSplitters 2 which can be found within the title. It'll be an arcade machine found in the game.
The reason for this retro revival has something to do with Deep Silver Dambuster's background. The studio originated from the now defunct Crytek UK which once carried the name Free Radical Design, and under that name it developed all of the TimeSplitters games. There was a time when there were several rumours circulating that Crytek UK was developing a sequel to the last Timesplitters title, but this was denied several times before being put to bed back in June 2012.
