Niantic Labs and The Pokémon Company have announced their Pokémon Go plans for the summer. On July 22, the Chicago Pokémon Go Fest will take place, a special event for US-based players, but one we can still support and benefit from over here.
18:00 CET till 18:30 CET / 17:00 BST till 17:30 BST
19:00 CET till 19:30 CET / 18:00 BST till 18:30 BST
22:00 CET till 22:30 CET / 21:00 BST till 21:30 BST
During these times players have to grab as many pokémon as they can. Meanwhile, as players around the world collect their own, they will further extend the duration of bonuses unlocked by those at the event in Chicago.
If enough pokémon are collected during these phases there will eventually be a mystery challenge for Chicago-based players only. If they succeed in this attempt, every participant around the world will get a "major global reward". No pressure then.
Furthermore, starting this August, Pokémon Go will host some Safari Zone Events in certain European countries. The dates and locations of the Safari Zones are:
August 5, 2017
- Fisketorvet—Copenhagen, Denmark
- Centrum Cerny Most—Prague, Czech Republic
August 12, 2017

- Stadshart Amstelveen—Amstelveen, the Netherlands
September 16, 2017

Every Safari Zone will have unique pokémon, some of them are even new or never before seen in Europe. Attendees can test their strength against local raid bosses, too. More info can be found here.
