After stating in previous forum posts over the validity of getting Project Cars running on Wii U ("unless we really cut the looks back I think we're looking to Nintendo's next console"), studio head Ian Bell has seemingly admitted defeat in the task.
Responding to a query about the game's ongoing port to the Nintendo console to Nintendo Life, Bell stated that the "official line is that we're awaiting an announcement from Nintendo on new hardware. As of now pCARS is simply too much for the Wii U."
This news will obviously come as a blow to Wii U players waiting for the racing sim to make the console transfer, with the title's other formats already getting a release in May. But whether this means this title or, presumably, its sequel will be making the shift to Nintendo's NX remains to be seen.
