PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has seen tremendous succes since it was launched last year, and while it was previously seen as natural for succesful titles to get sequels, the current trend is to treat a game as a service and update it over time. It seems PUBG creator Brendan Greene plans on doing just that... for a very long time.
In a new interview with IGN Greene has stated that he wants to support the game for more than 20 years.
"We want to do this for the next 20 years. We really want to build out a platform for game modes and possible esports. We're committed to supporting this game for a long time."
Greene and his team are currently testing the new 4x4 Savage map, and they are planning on releasing a full-size arctic map later this year as well.
