Nintendo has announced that it will be hosting a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe European Championship over the next few months. The tournament will see the best drivers from around Europe competing in online qualifier events all in the hopes of landing one of 24 spots that are available in the in-person grand final, which will take place in October.
The first qualifier is set for this Saturday, August 19, 2023, and will take place between 16:00 - 20:00 CEST. The next two qualifiers will be set for September 8th and September 17th, both at the same time as the first qualifier.
The beauty of this tournament is that anyone can partake in the hope of earning a spot to the grand final in Germany. To do so, you just need a Nintendo Switch Online account and then you can input one of the following codes to get to racing.
Depending on your race results, your score will determine whether you make the cut as one of the top eight racers in each of the three qualifiers.
As for the in-person tournament, this will be taking place at VILCO in Bad Vilbel, Frankfurt am Main, Germany on October 7 and 8, and there will be spectator tickets on offer for the event.
