Rare celebrating 20 years of Banjo-Kazooie with new merch

Game developer Rare has released a very nostalgia-filled post that's all about celebrating 20 years of Banjo-Kazooie, and just in case you were wondering if that means a new game announcement, Rare has anticipated those questions, saying:

"Before we dive into everything else, it's worth reiterating up front that we're immersed in Sea of Thieves right now and there's no surprise new Banjo game announcement lurking down below."

If you're a fan though there's still stuff to be excited about, with perhaps the most exciting being the collaboration with First 4 Figures to release a statue available for pre-order on Friday at 19:00 BST, a trailer for which you can watch below. The duo are also being made into Totaku figures as well, for those who want something slightly less grandiose.

From this week we'll also be able to visit Shipwrights in Sea of Thieves to get a Bear & Bird figurehead for your ship, and what better cost than 1998 gold to get it for yourself. It's going to be a limited-time thing though, so make sure you're quick.

There's even a t-shirt being released too, featuring the ancient bear and bird cave painting in Sea of Thieves, which you can pre-order right here, as well as a Teamwork crate for July featuring Banjo-Kazooie goodies and plushies that have recently been revealed by Microsoft.
