Red Bull will be hosting the UK's first major Fortnite event this summer, when the Red Bull Contested tournament takes place in Scotland in June. Seeing the best Fortnite players from around the world heading to McEwan Hall in Edinburgh, this event will be a Fortnite build tournament and will all take place on one day: June 10.

We're told in the announcement press release that the event will feature a unique solos format that spans eight rounds but features a twist on the traditional points system, as the final four rounds will be worth twice the usual amount of points.

As for who will be in attendance, we're told that various big names in the competitive Fortnite scene will be there, including Martin "MrSavage" Foss Andersen, Harry "Veno" Pearson, Thomas "Th0masHD" Høxbro Davidsen, Jaden "Wolfiez" Ashman, and Zachariah 'Pinq' Siddall, alongside a collection of other names.

We're told that UK and EU amateur players could qualify for the event by participating in open online qualifiers held on May 20 and 21, and that tickets for fans who want to attend, will be sold starting from April 10.

As for where the event will be broadcast, you will be able to catch it on Red Bull's Twitch and YouTube channels.
