We've reached the middle of May and while the releases this week are numerous, there's perhaps no one title that stands out above the rest. Still, there's certainly quality to be had, so if you've been sleeping on some of these it may be time to look them up.
May 15 - Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a pretty great dungeon crawler that arrives on Switch. (already available on PC, PS4, Xbox One). Descenders races on to Xbox One and Xbox Game Preview having previously seen release on Steam Early Access (it was among our discoveries at EGX Rezzed). Dragon's Crown Pro, the updated version of the critically acclaimed RPG arrives on PS4. Indie gem Forgotton Anne (read our review) arrives on PC and PS4. Nostalgic racing title Horizon Chase Turbo is set loose on both PC and PS4. Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time heads to PC and PS4 (this is getting a bit repetitive, isn't it?). Monster Slayers is a roguelike deck-building action-RPG that arrives on PS4 (and Xbox One on May 18) a year and change after its release on Steam. Spearhead Games' Omensight hits PC and PS4 (that's a very popular combo on this day). Dungeon crawler roguelike Wizard of Legend hits a plethora of platforms (PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One).
May 16 - Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition launches via the Game Preview program on Xbox One. The Dungeon Keeper-inspired Machiavillain sees you isolate and kill victims in various horror-themed traps (PC). Pixel adventure STAY arrives on PC, while Xbox One players will have to wait until May 30.
May 17 - The gorgeously grotesque Creepy Road offers old school run and gun action on PC. The beautiful Far: Lone Sales launches on PC. The wonderfully named PvP party game Taco Gun launches on PC. Ghouls N' Ghosts inspired Fox N' Forest hits PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One on this day. The Banner Saga (the original game) comes to Switch so you can start the journey that concludes with the third game on July 24. Bossa Studios' Worlds Adrift launches into Early Access on Steam, after some time in "pre-Early Access".
May 18 - The Legend of Zelda Musou style is served up with Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition comes to Switch, an enhanced port of the old Wii U release. The creepy puzzle-platformer Little Nightmares comes to Switch in the shape of a Complete Edition. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux arrives on Nintendo 3DS (the original game saw release on DS in 2009).
