A few weeks ago, we reported on the news that Overwatch League teams had yet to receive access to the Overwatch 2 beta, which the 2022 season would be played on. Then following this, shortly afterward Blizzard revealed the details of when the 2022 season would begin, with May 5 being that very date.

This led to the question of how prepared teams will be come the start of the season, as they won't be as practised with the version of the game they will be playing on, despite the creation of a replica Overwatch Workshop mode that aims to fill the void until access to the beta is provided.

Now, a new report by Dexerto has claimed that teams will finally be getting access to the Overwatch 2 beta "within two weeks," which will leave approximately six weeks of practice until the start of the season.

As there is no official word from Blizzard on the matter, we'll have to wait to hear whether this date will coincide with a beta for the game becoming available for players in general.
