It looks like another Call of Duty League team rebranding might be taking place ahead of the next season of the Activision-owned league. A report from Dexerto has stated that Team Heretics is plotting its return into the top level of CoD esports and will be doing so by partnering up with the Florida Mutineers team to create the Florida Heretics.

This all comes after previous rumours started swirling that suggested that the Mutineers were looking to exit the CDL space, but this latest report suggests that they have found a solution that keeps them in the competition.

Either way, no official confirmation has been made by either the CDL team or Team Heretics, but if this partnership and likely rebranding is to take place, expect a formal announcement in the coming weeks, so that the team can be ready for the 2023/24 campaign, which will likely start at the end of 2023 following on from this current season's earlier kick-off.
