Capcom have released some sales numbers and expectations on upcoming titles. First off they announced that Resident Evil 5, released on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in March, has shipped 5 million copies to date. That makes it the best selling entry in the series even before it has hit the platinum and classics price level, and it only trails Street Fighter II in Capcom's all-time sales. Another impressive number was notched up by Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP that has shipped 3.5 million copies in Japan. Meanwhile sales for Bionic Commando were only 550,000 well below the target.

Capcom expects to sell 2.7 million copies of the upcoming Lost Planet 2.
