Riot Games has shared a bunch of details on what the next year of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) will look like. Revealed in a video on Twitter, Riot has revealed that the 2022 VCT season will kick off in February, and will run until September, when the next Champions event will be held.

As for what will be between the start and finish of the season, Riot has noted that there will be League of Legends-styled Challengers splits, where teams will be competing for spots in the two Masters events (planned for April and July), which themselves will offer up spaces in the premier, end-of-season Champions event.

Since the season ends earlier, Riot has also shared that following the conclusion of Champions, there will be a variety of off-season, third-party organised events, which will serve as a method for introducing fresh talent into the scene.

Last of all, it was also mentioned that there will be an even greater focus on Game Changers in 2022, with Riot affirming that it will be investing in several country-based leagues to further support its women's only tournaments. There is even an international Game Changers event planned for the end of 2022.
