When switching between the previous and current generation of consoles, Ubisoft had to think about its policy regarding the annual releases for its Assassin's Creed franchise. At the time the French publisher decided to release two different games around the same time, one for each generation. As a result, the Xbox One and PS4 communities were given Assassin's Creed: Unity, while PS3 and Xbox 360 players got Assassin's Creed: Rogue, the latter linking the events of the third instalment to those of Black Flag.

But why are we talking about an old-gen Assassin's Creed game in November 2017? Well, quite simply because the game could be getting remastered next year. Furthermore, it could even be scheduled for release on March 15, 2018, this according to Italian retailers like Reluxshop and Webster.

Might we expect the announcement of Assassin's Creed: Rogue HD? With The Game Awards just around the corner, you never know...
