The not-yet-announced new iPhone is rumoured to have a limited edition counterpart, which would have a curved OLED screen, as being reported by Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources.
Talks are revolving around a 10th anniversary edition, according to the source, while still having "regular" iPhones refreshed using common LCD displays. It's of course stuff straight from the old rumour mill, so take this all with a pinch of salt, but the OLED-iPhone is believed to have a price tag above $1,000 USD, and WSJ has also heard that Apple will ditch both the home button and the lightning connector in favor of USB-C and a touch zone on the chin of the device.
Does this sound like a new and improved innovation, or an unnecessary and expensive change?
