It was known in the lead up to the start of the 2023 Call of Duty League season that this would be Seth "Scump" Abner's last ride, if you will. The iconic Call of Duty professional, who has been around the scene for what feels like an eternity, planned to hang it up after the 2023 campaign, but following a turbulent Major I, Scump has decided to retire earlier than planned.

As announced in a video on Twitter, Scump will not be returning to compete with the OpTic Texas any further.

To this end, the Texas CDL franchise has now named its updated starting roster, which will be competing in the game's planned for this weekend. The team will be Brandon "Dashy" Otell, Cuyler "Huke" Garland, Indervir "Illey" Dhaliwhal, and Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro.

The OpTic Texas will next take on the Seattle Surge on Friday, January 20 at 21:30 GMT / 22:30 CET.
