Epic Games has revealed the details and information for when Season 8 of the Fortnite Championship Series will begin. It will kick-off on October 14, and alike Season 7, will offer a $3 million prize pool to be split over the many regions.

As for what the season's format will look like, we can expect an Arena preseason that will include a FNCS Qualifier weekend on September 24-26, then it'll be full steam ahead into Season 8.

Unlike Season 7, Season will only feature two Qualifiers (set between October 15-17 and October 22-24), which will then lead into a Semi-finals on October 28-29 that will run into the finals on October 30-31.

Similar to Season 7, Season 8's prize pool will see the bulk of the $3 million assigned to Europe ($1,351,200), with the rest going to these regions; North America East, Brazil, North America West, Asia, Middle-East, and Oceania, in increasingly smaller amounts.

Epic also used this opportunity to briefly talk about the FNCS Grand Royale, mentioning that it will include a $5 million prize pool and that it will be taking place over a two-week period starting from November 12. Any player who has made a round of the FNCS may make a trio for the event, but that more information about the event will be coming later.
