The Call of Duty League is already nearing the end of its 2022 season, as following last night's events, the competitive scene is now heading into its fourth and final Major of the regular season.
But as for the events that unfolded last night, it was here that a new champion for Major III was dubbed, and this time around it was none other than the Seattle Surge. The Surge proved to be a dominant team all Major long, and secured a spot in the grand final by defeating the Atlanta Faze in the winner's bracket final. With this spot locked in, the team waited for its opponent, who after a couple of games ended up being the Atlanta Faze again, who survived the loser's bracket final and made it to the marquee match.
However it was a similar story here as the Faze failed to stop the Surge who ended up powering through to a 5-3 victory to take the third Major of the season, claiming a bunch of regular season points and catapulting themselves into third in the overall standings, just ahead of the London Royal Ravens.
As for what's next for the CDL, the fourth Major of the season begins in a couple of weeks with its first week of qualifiers set to start on June 24.
