It's often the case that Japanese titles get a domestic release before coming to fans in the west, and Sega is no exception, although they want to end this trend by simultaneously releasing games around the world, as we can see in their latest integrated report (as shared by Nintendo Life).

The company defines this as one of their "Road to 2020" goals, and adds that localisation to several languages tends to delay the release of the games overseas. They're confident that they can improve and speed up that process though, specifically with the help of Atlus and their expertise at translating games (Atlus was acquired by Sega over a year ago).

Yakuza fans would particularly take advantage of this situation, as each release in the series usually has several months separating the Japanese and Western versions. Is this good news for you Sega fans?
