Semblance could be referred to as the first actual platformer. As you bend and manipulate them to progress in this physics-based puzzle platformer.
"We're calling it a clay-do platformer, clay-do cause we don't want to get sued, but you know what we're talking about", says Myres. "It's the first real platformer, because all other platformers before have just been running and jumping on platform-ers, but this is the first real platformer cause you can actually morph, shift, and shape the platforms."
We first saw the South African-developed game at The MIX during last year's E3 and then later in Stockholm at the indie incubator Stugan's finale. Now Semblance has a publisher in Good Shepherd and is coming to the Nintendo Switch in addition to PC.
"Depending on when we release we might actually be the first African developed IP to release on a Nintendo console ever, which is like crazy", says Myres.
As for the release date, then?
"All we can say is 2018, but it's very soon", says Myres and smiles.
