The Overwatch League's latest tournament has now concluded with the Summer Showdown in the books. The event that took place over this past weekend brought the two best teams from the East and West division of the league together to compete for a chance at some extra League Points and also for the $100,000 cash prize going to the victor.
The event featured the Dallas Fuel, the Atalanta Reign, the Chengdu Hunters, and the Shanghai Dragons, and after moving through a double-elimination bracket, the two teams that made it to the grand finals ended up being the East's representative's, the Dragons and the Hunters.
The finals wrapped up in a 4-1 set that pretty much saw the Dragons blow the Hunters out of the water to achieve back-to-back Major wins. With the final tournament of the 2021 OWL season next on the line, the Countdown Cup, we'll have to see whether the Dragons can become back-to-back-to-back champions.
