Ubisoft showed us more of its hand when last night the publisher shared its latest financials in a report that reveals that it has four games to release before the end of this current fiscal year (which runs until March 31, 2020).

The report paints a positive picture for the publisher, but it also confirms a delay for Skull & Bones, the pirate-themed online title which had been slated for a release in 2019, which will now launch at some point in the 2020 fiscal year.

We know that one of the company's four major releases is Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, which is due to land on October 4, but the identity of the other three games are less clearcut. Watch Dogs 3 is a good shout for being one of the trio, but what about the likes of Splinter Cell or even something Assassin's Creed related?

The truth is, we simply don't know for sure what the company is cooking up behind closed doors, but one game that definitely won't set sail this year is Skull & Bones.

"We're going to batten down the hatches and push back on the game's arrival," the studio wrote on Twitter, "this is a challenging news for us all, but it's what's needed to make Skull & Bones as awesome as it can be!"

"Our focus remains on quality first and we're grateful for your undying support."

With three unannounced games set to land within the next twelve months, it's safe to say that we'll be hearing more about Ubisoft's plans during E3, which takes place in LA next month.

REVIEW. Written by Ben Lyons

There is potential to explore in places, but there are also far too many holes for this ship to make it back to port.
