In a move that no doubt will shock the entire gaming community, it looks like another Call of Duty is in the works, although this one is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, not Treyarch or Infinity Ward.
As spotted by NowGamer, there are 10 temporary job listings posted on LinkedIn, including the linked advert for a Weapons & Vehicle Artist. Given that the advertised roles are temporary, it seems that the studio may be moving into crunch time and are looking to supplement their numbers for the challenge ahead.
If this is true, could we be looking at a Sledgehammer Call of Duty releasing sometime in 2014? And if so, what does that mean for Treyarch, the studio that usually releases their take on the series every other year?
It appears that Sledgehammer, who previously worked with Infinity Ward on Modern Warfare 3, might have taken on the Modern Warfare strand of the franchise, although there's still no official confirmation from Activision regarding what form a new game in the series might take. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
