American giants EA are furthering their relationship with Swedish developer Starbreeze Studios as they have announced that the Uppsala based studio is working on a Jason Bourne project.

The Robert Ludlum Estate bought back the video game rights to all Ludlum properties from Activision Blizzard as they had published an old Vivendi Games' project Bourne Conspiracy in June. Now EA has signed an exclusive deal to make video games based on Robert Ludlum for multiple years. A weird twist of fate as the bankable movie agents James Bond and Jason Bourne have switched sides (Bond used to be an EA property and now resides with Activision Blizzard).

Starbreeze Studios are also working on reinventing a classic EA franchise, codenamed Project RedLime, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and they are just finishing up on The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) which is set to be released within a couple of months. We assume that the Bourne project will also be developed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but there was no mention of specific platforms in the press release.
