Bandai Namco recently revealed a new entry in the Taiko no Tatsujin series, most known as Taiko Drum Master in the West (or as Donkey Konga, which is a modification of the same series), which are games usually released solely for the Japanese audience, hence why this version will launch in Japan on July 19.
But maybe there's hope for the West this time, as plenty of popular Nintendo characters are in the game, such as Kirby and the Squid from Splatoon, and there'll also be music to play from Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey. Now Hori has announced a set of drums for the game as well (which can be played with Joy-Cons), based on the ones previously released for PlayStation 4 and further improved.
It also has space for two 50cl water bottles to give it more sturdiness during heavy drumming sessions, and is connected to the Switch via USB cables. Everyone that has tried either Donkey Konga or Taiko Drum Master (often available in bigger arcades) knows that it's really good fun, so let's hope Bandai Namco and Nintendo bring it over here as well. Otherwise, you can of course import the game as the Switch is region-free.

Drum 'n' Fun for Switch and Drum Session for PS4 now have release dates.
Pre-orders and ratings seem like good news.

No Western release date has been revealed though.
