After plenty of rumours that Taiko no Tatsujin will be coming to the west again after a long absence, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced not one but two games: Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun for Nintendo Switch (recently released in Japan), and the 2017 PS4 game Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session.
Shortly after that, Hori confirmed that the drum peripheral sold with the game in Japan isn't coming along to Europe or America, however, and what's more is that both Drum 'n' Fun and Drum Session will be digital-only releases in the West, as Bandai Namco told Gematu.
The western versions of the new Taiko no Tatsujin games come with Don-chan and his friends speaking in perfect Japanese with subtitles in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish, and the tracklist for the Switch game will be exactly the same one in the Japanese version, with more than 70 songs including some from Super Mario Odyssey. The PS4 version also includes more than 70 tracks, some of them produced in the west, and you can read more about that on the PlayStation Blog.
Are you pleased to see the franchise coming our way again?
