Team Ninja has announced the release date for Dead or Alive 6's online demo during their presentation at EVO Japan. Available to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members, the demo will last two days before players will have to wait for the full release.

The demo will feature ranked and lobby matches, tutorial, a story mode introduction, and a range of different training modes. With all of the 24 launch characters available, the demo will allow players to get to grips with any fighter they'd like.

This announcement comes alongside a reveal that Team Ninja will be partnering with SNK for Dead or Alive 6. This collaboration will bring Mai and a yet-to-be-announced character from The King of Fighters XIV to the game as DLC characters, with Mai coming out in June.

These fighters will be sold separately but are also available as part of the Season One DLC pass releasing March 1. This pass will include 62 costumes; DOA6 Happy Wedding Costumes Vol. 1 and 2, DOA6 New Costumes Set Vol.1 and 2, and additional costumes for the two SNK characters. New costumes for NiCO and Nyotengu will also be featured as part of the pass.

Dead or Alive 6's demo will become playable February 22nd and will end February 24th, with the full game set to land on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 1.
