Bandai Namco has announced that the upcoming Tekken World Tour season will be a big one. Following the launch of Tekken 8, which is happening in a few days, the upcoming esports season will be played on that anticipated title and will also be an entirely in-person competitive event.

Set to kick off on April 13th, we're told that the season will include global and regional leaderboards and will see the Master, Master+, Challenger, and Dojo levels returning to in-person events. The players who amass the most points in these levels will move up the leaderboards all in the effort of securing a spot in the Global Finals where the next Tekken World Tour champion will be crowned.

Otherwise, we're told that this coming season will feature three new partners; Chipotle, Venum, and Victrix. Each will be helping expand the competitive scene with giveaways, new apparel lines, and special edition products.

Lastly, it has been confirmed that the first Master+ tournament of the year will be held at EVO Japan between April 27-29. There will be a second Master+ tournament this season too.
