During our visit to The Molasses Flood's office, we sat down and talked with environmental artist Chad LaClair about the distinctive visual style of their game, The Flame in the Flood.

"When we got together to form this team we knew early on that we wanted to make a game with Scott Sinclair's art style. He's the art director from Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, and he has a very distinct illustrative style that he uses in his personal work. When he's painting he has this crazy style that he uses that we all love. And we said: "don't know 100% what we're making yet, but we wanna make a game that looks like that," and that kind of evolved into what we did."

For much more on this exciting indie title, check out the full interview below, then head here for our recent preview. The Flame in the Flood is the studio's debut title, and it should be heading to PC and Xbox One at some point in 2015.

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It's original, exciting, vulnerable, beautiful and a game that you'll want to come back to again and again."
