G2 Esports are a team that have seen a lot of success in the European League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS), but when they came up against Fnatic in the finals of the competition's Spring Split this past weekend in Copenhagen, they actually lost their title.

Fnatic were convincing not only in the finals, but also in the entire split, and now they've earned themselves a place at the Mid-Season Invitational after a dominant performance in the Danish capital, where they'll hope to reproduce the success against the likes of other teams like North American Spring Split winners Team Liquid.

It was never guaranteed that G2 could continue their success after making a lot of changes to the team before the split, but they still did tremendously well to get as far as they did, and now Fnatic may be the team to watch moving forwards.

Is Fnatic the top EU team now?
