The first gameplay footage from Total War: Warhammer

Creative Assembly has revealed the first gameplay footage from the upcoming Total War: Warhammer, in the form of a 10 minute walkthrough of one of the game's Quest Battles.

The video guides you through the frantic tactical battles, as well as introduce you to some of the unit types in The Battle of Black Fire Pass.

"The Battle of Black Fire Pass formed the basis for this year's Total War: Warhammer E3 press demos, and offers a glimpse of the tremendous diversity of battlefield units, spells, war machines, monstrous creatures and fantasy environments that will appear in the final game. As a Quest Battle available specifically to Karl Franz, it represents one of many bespoke, optional encounters players will unlock as they progress through a campaign with their chosen Legendary Lord."

Take a look at the trailer below. A release date for Total War: Warhammer has yet to be announced, but we do expect to learn more during Gamescom next week.
