Shaun Escayg announced yesterday on Twitter that he's leaving Naughty Dog after working there for seven years, a move which has apparently been planned internally for quite a while, but wasn't made official until yesterday. He leaves the studio on good terms to pursue a different career path.
It seems like he might return to his roots in films and visual effects, as he started his career making commercials, short films, and animations, and has worked for Disney on the Get Ed-series, and on films like Outlander, The Marsh, George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead, and Transformers - Dark of the Moon. His directorial debut, the live-action short film FISH, won Best Short Film at the Belize International Film Festival when it was released.
Now it seems he might return to the Disney-fold, as he might work for Marvel - on an Avengers project - at least if we're to speculate based on a picture he posted on his Instagram, which you can see below.
We're excited to see what he'll do next, and wish him all the best in his new endeavours. Did you like The Lost Legacy?
