The Surge 2

The Surge 2's Symphony of Violence trailer slows things down

Don't get us wrong though, it's just as violent, albeit with a soothing soundtrack over the top of the action.

If you know anything about The Surge, you'll know that it's not exactly calming, as it's a game that's about brutal difficulty, dismembering enemies to use their body parts as scrap for your own gain, and clashing metal with metal in this future dystopia.

The new Symphony of Violence trailer for The Surge 2 changes things up a bit though, as we get a much more laid-back experience ahead of release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 24. That's because there's a soothing soundtrack over the slow-motion combat, keeping things relaxed as you witness the sequel's brutality.

"Dismantle your foes with elegant efficiency" in the description reminds us an awful lot of id Software's 'Doom dance' in their shooter, except this is more of a romantic slow dance... albeit with a lot more blood and gore.

Can you dismantle your foes with the same effiency?

"Let's hope that more content is planned beyond the season pass as this make for a rather disappointing conclusion to an otherwise quality sequel."

"The environments feel more open and varied, side quests provide variety, and there have been some subtle but appreciated tweaks to combat."
