New-gen FIFA players are next week set to get a World Cup-themed offering called FIFA Ultimate Team: FIFA World Cup, a free update that's coming to all versions of FIFA 14 on May 29 (that's PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One).
It's actually pretty different from the World Cup experience offered in 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, as here players will be building up squads consisting of players from across the 32 teams playing in Brazil this summer, although there will be official kits/crests, the Brazuca match ball, and the Estadio do Marcana stadium.
As per usual players will be able to purchase additional consumable packs, although each FUT World Cup Pack will include a Gold Pack that'll feed back into the standard Ultimate Team experience. While there's going to be tournaments between player's teams, it's still going to be someway from the traditional tournament experience, for that you're going to have drop down a generation and play the official game on either PS3 or Xbox 360.
