The Worlds 2022 groups are finally locked in

The Play-Ins tournament has concluded and now all eyes are on the main event.

The League of Legends World Championship's Play-Ins stage has now concluded, and with this being the case, the groups for the main event are now locked in place. While 12 teams qualified for the Play-Ins, only four have survived and advanced to the groups, which are now as follows.

Group A:


  • Cloud9

  • EDward Gaming

  • Fnatic

  • T1

Group B:


  • DWG KIA

  • Evil Geniuses

  • G2 Esports

  • JD Gaming

Group C:


  • DRX

  • GAM Esports

  • Rogue

  • Top Esports

Group D:


  • 100 Thieves

  • CTBC Flying Oyster

  • Gen.G

  • Royal Never Give Up

The first set of games in the main event portion of the tournament is slated to start this Friday with Cloud9 taking on Fnatic. That match will be held at 22:00 BST / 23:00 CEST, with G2 Esports facing DWG KIA afterwards.
