Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is launching on October 12 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and while there were some changes implemented during the recent beta, there are also a bunch of changes that won't be put in place until the game is finally released.

What's new though? Well, Treyarch has made an extensive post about the subject on Reddit, and it looks like that there will be five key points facing a change: "Fog of War & Minimap Awareness", "Tac-Deploy & Spawning", "Body Armor & Gear", "Free Cursor UI Navigation", and "Loadouts in Killcams".

Fog of war and minimap proved to be more useful than was intended, and as a result these will be changed so that you can't see everything around you, just the cone-shaped area that reflects your field of vision. The ability to see the whole circle area around you is now moved to Team Link limit, and you'll get a warning when you are visible in enemy's minimap. Also the time you are visible in an enemy's minimap after a shot is reduced.

Spawning will never be perfect, but Tac-Deploy created too many problems in the beta, so Treyarch has therefore "shortened the duration that a Tac-Deploy is active, lengthened its cooldown time, and limited the number of spawns per use to 10". There's also a notification coming to killcam that "displays when a Tac-Deploy is active and whether there is danger nearby, and another notification that appears in the game HUD after you spawn on a Tac-Deploy".

Body Armor in the beta was the most controversial piece of equipment, but now at launch "damage is now reduced by armor rather than being completely deflected by it", and "added extra +25 bonus score reward for every kill against players with Armor to help feed your Scorestreak meter".

In October you'll be able to navigate menus with the d-pad too, but free cursor is also available for those who want it. Finally, Treyarch assures that the ability to see your killer's loadout in a killcam will definitely be in the game when it launches as well.

Are you happy with these changes?
