THQ Nordic has bought themselves a lot of studios recently, as just today we reported about Bugbear Entertainment being picked up, as well as Goat Simulator studio Coffee Stain too, and it seems as if they have been quite successful all round with their business.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, during the financial quarter that ended on September 30, net sales were $139.5 million USD, which is a 1,403% growth compared to $9.3 million reported for the same period in 2017.

If you need reminding, THQ Nordic acquired Koch Media and Deep Silver earlier this year, which doubled the publisher's potential revenues. Key performers were Dakar 18 and Pathfinder Kingmaker, making sales of $27.6 million.

THQ Nordic's own games were also significant successes, meaning net sales were up 47% ($13.6 million). Highlighted games mentioned were Titan Quest, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered, and This Is The Police 2. In fact, they released five of their own games and nine from other studios in this quarter.

According to founder and CEO Lars Wingefors, THQ Nordic has 55 games in development, and of these 35 are still unannounced. He also hinted that there is more to come:

"We are patiently working on adding more great companies into the group, both developers and publishers. This is a daily proactive activity within the parent company, as well as within both operating groups."

It seems that in the upcoming years we'll hear a lot more from THQ Nordic. Do you like their content?

Goat Simulator

REVIEW. Written by Fabrizia Malgieri

"Ugly, short, broken. Goat Simulator may be an artistic critique on the indie scene. Or maybe its just a very crap game about an apocalyptic goat."
