Acid Nerve have come up with what might just be the most challenging game concept we've ever encountered - Titan Souls. You only get one - health point that is, and only one arrow - and there's a ton of bosses to tackle, all with their own unique twist to figure out.
The game was born out of a game jam with the theme "you only get one".
"Initial idea was to make a demake of Shadow of the Colossus where we were making just boss fights and see what we can do in the three days we had at the time. And that became this full game," says lead game designer Mark Foster."
Titan Souls adheres to the old open world design of a classic Zelda game and will allow players to roam freely after the first introductory four bosses. The game is in development for Linux, Mac, PC as well as PS4 and PS Vita with release planned for early 2015.
"We think that if you keep a flat level of difficulty, that's hard - then the entire thing will be challenging and good. To make it different you really just need to have different fights. So we just tried to think of crazy stuff to put in. And just do whatever our imaginations tell us really."
