Freebird Games and XD Network have revealed that To the Moon will be releasing this summer on the Nintendo Switch, so a whole new audience can play the game that first released all the way back in 2011.

The game sees two doctors work to grant a dying man's last wish by working through his memories, and you can get a taste of what this entails in the brand new trailer below. It's a calm game without combat, and tells an emotional story without the need for combat.

"Even under such a freemium-lead market, it's never too late to bring this heart-gripping story to a whole new group of players." says Shen Sheng, CTO and the Development producer of the Switch version from XD Network.

This Switch version has been entirely remade by XD Network and takes the original RPG Maker blueprint before recreating it in Unity. This also marks the first time the game can be played on consoles, so if you missed it the first time around then this might be the best time to dive in.

Will this be your first time playing?
