This has more concurrent players at launch than any other game in the series, sitting just behind the likes of CS:GO and Dota 2.

The Total War series has had many entries during the years it has been active, and it seems as if Creative Assembly has done a good job with Three Kingdoms, since it's already peaked at 162,592 players a day on from release, as reported by VG247.

This is higher than Rome 2's 118,240 peak, and Warhammer's 111,909, and is the highest number a Total War game has ever achieved. It also currently has more players than the likes of Warframe and Grand Theft Auto V on Steam, although understandably less than the likes of CS:GO and Dota 2.

We brought you the news earlier this week that Creative Assembly had let one dying fan try the game early too, so it's good to see that this is a quality game that the rest of the community are enjoying as well.

If you're interested in why it's been received so well, check out our review to see our thoughts.
