Twitch has come under fire in recent months for its rules around banning accounts and the inconsistencies around it, and now it's received even more heat for banning a streamer called Quqco, who was wearing a Chun Li cosplay at the time.

Now, the Twitch community guidelines state that:

"Nudity and sexually explicit content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, are prohibited."

"Sexually suggestive content or activities are also prohibited, although they may be allowed in educational contexts or for pre-approved licensed content, in each case subject to additional restrictions."

But as pointed out by Quqco in her tweet - and others in the replies - she is fully covered in the cosplay, as you can see in the picture below.

Despite this, the email she received regarding the ban cites that the reason is "sharing or engaging in sexually suggestive content or activities".

"I've reached out to @TwitchSupport to understand the cause of my @Twitch ban. I haven't received any clarifications yet. I don't believe my ban was justified, as there was no sexual intent nor content," Quqco adds later on.

Mixer has also come under the same scrutiny, which is something we talked about in a recent article.

What do you make of Twitch's banning practice?
