Team Vitality has announced that Karel Ašenbrener, better known as Twisten, has died at the age of 19.

As outlined in a Twitter post made by the French organisation, it appears that Twisten took his own life. It was believed he had been battling depression for some time and had previously spent time in hospital due to self-harming behaviour.

Vitality's players and staff led the tributes to Twisten. MOLSI said: "We lost our teammate, friend and brother Karel. I don't have words that can describe how I'm feeling right now. He was a big talent with big aspirations to become the best."

"The most genuine human I've met, always had us smiling," wrote BONECOLD.

Plenty more tributes have been made by other Valorant teams, pro players, streamers, and more. Rest in peace, Twisten.
