"Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of GRTV News. It feels like we can't go two minutes without talking about Call of Duty and unfortunately today is about that again because there's been a massive report that has gone around from Insider Gaming now that suggests or should we say starts revealing a few bits of information about Call of Duty 2024. Now again this is a report, this is not an official piece of information from Activision or from any of the studios involved with development on Call of Duty so you have to take the information with a little bit of caution but Insider Gaming generally has quite a good track record when it comes to Insider reports so yes we're gonna be diving on in and having a look at precisely this. Call of Duty 2024 is reportedly Call of Duty Black Ops Golf War. Guess when and where Treyarch's game will be set. It's been over a year since leaks made it seem like 2024's Call of Duty game will take us to the golf war. This was basically confirmed last summer when actor Luke Charles Stafford had to delete a Facebook post after revealing he had been chosen as the model for a character called Ratcliffe in Treyarch's upcoming game. That's one of the reasons why today's report should be surprising for those of you paying close attention to COD rumours. The usually very reliable Jess Korn over at Windows Central claims Call of Duty 2024 will indeed be a new Black Ops game that take us to the early 90s and the golf war. He therefore thinks that Treyarch will follow its new naming convention by simply calling the game Call of Duty Black Ops Golf War after titling its previous game Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson corroborates this. Being set during the golf war means that Treyarch might continue the story where it left off in Black Ops Cold War as the armed conflict between Iraq and the coalition led by the United States lasted from 1990 to early 1991. Korn stating that Call of Duty Black Ops Golf War will be focused on the CIA makes this seem even more likely. And for those of you fearing that Call of Duty Black Ops Golf War will be a rushed game like this year's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, remember that Treyarch's game was delayed from 2024, sorry to 2024 from 2023 which means the studio and its partners have been working on it for four years when it releases next fall. So first of all it was Windows Central that gave the report initially with Insider Gaming corroborating it but the point is that we've got two reputable sources here that both are saying the same thing that Call of Duty 2024 will be a game set in the golf war period or it's going to be set in the golf war period and most likely called Call of Duty Black Ops Golf War as well. Yes it's coming from Treyarch, it's been developed or been in development for four years by the time that it launches next year and no doubt if we look at the recent trend with how Activision has been approaching announcing and sharing details about its Call of Duty projects we can probably assume that it's going to release in either late October early November that they'll probably start hyping up and sharing information about it in the summer, late summer most likely sort of August, July through August period and it will likely also have an annual life cycle as well it will you know be around for about a year before the next Call of Duty comes out after that and it will use a seasonal format as well but that's just me assuming that they're going to stick to the same sort of format that they've been using for the past time many years but again we'll know more about this in the future when Activision decides to officially announce this game which don't expect it any time soon don't expect official information about this game any time soon because Modern Warfare 3 is still very raw at this point it's only been out for a couple of weeks so um so yes but uh let's know what you think about it would you be are you excited to be returned to Black Ops are you excited to see Treyarch leading Call of Duty development again let's all know in the comments below and otherwise we'll be back now tomorrow for the final GRT news of the week so until then I hope you enjoy the rest of your Thursday and we'll see you all on the next one take care everyone"
