Apple Watch Series 10 (Quick Look) - Thinner Than Ever
The latest generation of Apple's Watch gadget is thinner than any before it, all while featuring its most advanced display yet, faster charging, better water and temperature resilience, and more.

"Hello everyone and welcome to another Gamereactor quick look, currently I am reviewing this Huawei Watch GT5, I think it's a Pro maybe with titanium, I like it, I think it lacks some pretty crucial things but I like it, I really do, but I cannot argue with the fact that the Apple Watch is the best smartwatch in the world, there's just no debating that because of how tightly it integrates within the ecosystem of iOS and all of Mac's software suites, apps and features, there really just is no debate, it is as tightly integrated as a watch can be and it can do a lot of stuff that regular smartwatches cannot do, either it cannot do them wholesale or it can't do them as well, as seamlessly, so when Apple puts out a new Apple Watch, there are a couple of things that are true at the same time, one, it remains the best smartwatch in the world, two, it is really careful iteration that we're talking about most of the time, if you think that there is stale development within the iPhone lineup, this is more than that, but still, Apple says that this is the most significant lineup change that we've gotten for years, and there is some truth to that, for one, this probably won't show unless I have like a Series 9 up next to it or a Series 8 or even a Series 6, which I think is the last supported model that Apple actively sells, but it's 10% lighter than the Series 9 at 35 grams, but alongside being lighter, it's much thinner, it has a much larger display and has a longer lasting battery life, that is an incredibly hard combination where there are gains in all of those fields at once, that's really cool, this new screen here is 416 by 496 and it reaches 2000 nits of peak brightness, and the one thing that you can really feel is the size increase, it is mainly achieved by cutting down on the bezels around the watch face, but it is really cool to see them slimming down and making a more efficient build, so if you're not buying a big fancy Apple Watch Ultra, which costs like double this much, well, then you are really getting a watch upgrade, at the same time, it's around a 15% battery improvement, there are thereabouts, and it also, more importantly, is an improvement in charging, if you use the cable that comes in the box, they don't give you a power adapter, you're gonna have to supply that yourself, you get 80% charge in 15 minutes of charging, so that's basically just taking a shower in the morning, then you're ready for the rest of the day, and sleep tracking on top of that, alongside that, there's obviously new health features, chief among them being a new sleep apnea detection suite, which does affect a lot of people worldwide, so, and particularly, a lot of people that is affected by this don't really know, they just have a poor sleep experience, and this might help detect that, which I think is really cool, apart from that, for the rest of us, there is now music playing from the speaker, that's just a way that they've done it, for now, or for years, you've been able to take calls from the watch that have been played out from the speaker, but if you wanted to just listen to something on Spotify, it has said, if you want to choose your in-ears like your AirPods, or your phone, or from where should I play it, and the obvious answer is, in some cases, from here, I'm selecting it from here, and you haven't been able to do that, well, now you can, there's a new four core neural engine here, only for voice isolation, which means better call quality from the watch, you might think, why would you take calls from your Apple watch, well, I take calls from my smart watch all the time, it's just, it's situational, if I can't really reach my phone, if I have wet hands, if I have both of my arms filled with angry children, well, there is one clear-cut case right there, point is, more functionality is always good, and while there isn't no double-tap feature that just immediately catches everyone's attention, this redesign is pretty significant, it's probably not the revelation that a lot of people were expecting, like, that it would suddenly become round, or that it would just do something completely new, that's not where we are, Apple likes the Apple watch, and they want to continue to make the squarish shape with the rotating digital crown right here, and it works because it's very popular and it works well, there's no need for a reinvention, at least not yet, that's sad, to some degree, but this is also, as I said at the beginning, the best smart watch in the world, thank you for watching."
