BRIO World Train Set Dinosaur Adventure (Quick Look) - Choo Choo!
We've got our hands on a lovely 21-piece train set that allows youngsters to enjoy locomotive adventures with a prehistoric theme.

"Hello everyone and welcome to a pretty special Gamereactor Quick Look, because obviously this is not a new smartphone, this is not a new tablet, this is not a new graphics card, this is much more rudimentary than that."
"But I do think that there is a good reason why someone like a regular Gamereactor Quick Look viewer might take a look at this and both be struck by playing with toys in a simpler time that didn't require a constant internet connection and several types of subscriptions, but also that might take a look at this, get slightly inspired and perhaps if you have small children like me, reinvest in toys that is lovingly crafted in a different kind of way."
"Now obviously this is something from Brio, this is the Dinosaur Adventure set from the world sort of sub-genre of Brio.
Now obviously the one bit of electricity that I would introduce to this little scene here is a train that runs on batteries, which this set does not come with, but Brio does manufacture it and they are pretty nicely made, but still if this was equipped with a battery run train, well then I would really, really love to show this to my children."
"First and foremost because they really love dinosaurs, but secondly this is actually both really cheap.
It's very difficult with price conversions, but it'll be around $35 to $40 ish, but once you see that, you can see that this is really lovingly designed and crafted, particularly for those kinds of small children that really enjoy dinosaurs and sort of dinosaur, my son for instance know all of the names."
"He has a little book that he carries around with him where he lists off all the dinosaurs that he knows.
He's really, really nice about that and obviously he would be thrilled about this, but it is I think a really cool little set."
"Now furthermore, Brio obviously makes a lot of other things.
They sent over this, which is a little steam train for one.
So you can very easily just attach it and press the on button and it will move forward and you can use this little pipette-ish thing to put water inside of the steam system."
"It'll create steam as it moves along.
I find that to be harder to recommend because it's not really part of what you would normally traditionally consider part of the Brio ecosystem, but the traditional train track in this lovely sort of wooden design here has, well basically it's almost legendary now."
"It's been built, manufactured, designed like this for years and years and years, decades even and it has endured in the eyes of children across the globe and I think that heritage is really interesting, particularly as I am now a father to children that are that kind of age that would play with this sort of thing."
"Now again, maybe my children are just lazy, but they love the idea of the train moving by itself.
So not offering the set just out of the box with a battery-powered one, I think is a little bit of a shame, particularly when Brio has demonstrated that they do."
"This is a steam-powered volcano, for instance, which can, you know, there are several different things where if you place this little pterodactyl in a certain way, it will kind of erupt, lava will ooze out and this little pair of rock will pop off.
So they do know that there is some extra fun to be had with increased interactivity through these kinds of things."
"But obviously you can push it around yourself, but still I wanted to show this to you because I just think there is still an idea in more tactile, physical play like this.
And so we will hopefully be taking a look at more in the future.
