We take a look at a collection of devices from Cuisinart that aim to make meal prep and having a healthy diet ever easier.

"Sure, all products that they've sent us that we've had here on the desk have not been immediate favorites among the editorial staff, but a lot of them seem to not demand a totally premium high price point.
That means that they would go into direct competition with established giants like Kenwood for instance."
"And they offer up, I think, pretty good design profiles and sort of anonymous aesthetics with good material usage.
And they do that at competitive prices.
Take these two here."
"This is the FlexPrep.
It's a 1.1 liter food processor and a Blast & Go, which is a portable personal blender.
We've seen these ideas elsewhere.
This is, strictly speaking, just a food processor and a portable personal blender is what we showed from Nutribullet not too long ago."
"And the general idea is the same.
Let's do the smaller one here.
We explained the general concept in that Nutribullet video, but I'll do the same thing here.
Imagine you want a morning smoothie, but you know that you're not going to have it for a couple of hours."
"But you have to leave your home, for instance, or you have to go to school, uni, whatever the case might be.
If you blend it too early, the thing, the case is with a lot of these things, particularly if you're just blending fruit and vegetables, well, then it will separate over time."
"The liquid will penetrate outward from the blended mixture that you've made and you'll end up with the sort of soft liquid on the top and sort of the blended fruit and vegetables at the bottom.
You don't want that."
"Blended things are generally made for consumption immediately or close to immediately.
So how do you solve this problem?
Well, you fill the Blast & Go with the things that you want to blend, and then you carry it with you like this."
"There's a little rubber carrying handle right here, and this unit right here is the blending battery.
So the notion would be that you arrive at work or whatever, you stick this in the fridge or whatever the case might be, and when you want to consume your smoothie or whatever you put in, well, then you blend right here."
"And the battery inside will make sure that you have enough.
There appears to be 20 blends per charge, and when it's done, you can charge it very simply through USB Type-C. That seems like a generally good idea.
This cup here is 500 milliliters, and this motor here is 20,000 RPM, rapid blends."
"That means that it can also do frozen fruit and or ice.
So there's a lot of different things that might be immediately more delicious because you can make it fresh wherever it is.
I will say that as a package, which is what you would have to carry with you, it is not exactly light, but it is a good way to solve a very specific problem."
"So if you have this specific problem, well, then this solves it perfectly.
Personally, I would have enjoyed to see it go for five blends and be half as big as this.
Because 20 seems like a lot, because imagine, I know you don't want to charge things all the time, but the thing is, you are going to have to clean this every time either way."
"So there is maintenance required after each blend.
You're not going to bring this home filthy after you've drank from it.
By the way, you do that if you just open this lid right here.
You don't have to, you know, it is drinkable or usable in that state."
"Point is, when you bring this home, it'll be, it'll probably go in directly into your, you know, being washed up so you can use it again.
So charging this for half an hour while you do that doesn't seem like the biggest ask, particularly if you had like five blends."
"Still pretty cool stuff.
This is a 1.1 liter flex prep food processor.
Now, it's called 1.1 liter because this, the cutting bowl is 1.1 liters, meaning that this is a lot more compact and takes up a lot less space on your kitchen table than, you know, a competing model from Kenwood, for instance."
"It is stainless steel, these chopping plates right here.
There is a reversible shredding disc.
There's a whipping blade.
There are many different things that you can add to it in order to create the result that you want."
"The main problem for a couple of people would be that 1.1 liters isn't that much, but still for the sort of the general usage, it is a good idea.
There's a general pulse, which is activated by clicking downward or a regular on, which will be, which can be attacked, like depressed or removed."
"It is incredibly simple.
There aren't even separate like programs here.
There's just an on and a pulse.
So if you want something which is inherently simple more so than anything else, well, then it's probably a good idea."
"It's dishwasher safe.
There is this one-touch, as I said, one-touch blade.
There's a blade lock system for safety.
It's all here, but you get it from a manufacturer, which is more proven."
"So these two things, again, I think prove that Cuisinart is really going for a broad portfolio of strong products at really effective prices.
