This mixer is built to make cooking and baking all the easier, with its straightforward and simplistic design.
"Hello everyone, and welcome to another Gamereactor Quick Look.
This is actually not the first time that we're taking a look at the Kenwood Go stand mixer.
We brought this to light, to your attention, years back, but now it has been slightly refined with a new colorway, and we thought this to be a good excuse to sort of reintroduce it to people that haven't been looking at it before, because this is a proper good alternative to many of the more expensive stand mixers that you might be finding out on the market."
"And this might have more effect, but in a more compact and versatile package than you might be expecting.
That is why we're talking about it again.
So as I said, this is the Kenwood Go stand mixer."
"It is in a new colorway, it's slightly sage, minty, and it launches alongside other products in an updated Go series.
Now there is a, they've added a blender functionality to the Multi Pro, and then there is the hand mixer."
"We're going to go through all of these in three separate videos, so please watch those if you haven't already.
But obviously the main, the main act here is the stand mixer, because in a nation such as ours, in the world as it is right now, a lot of people are getting into baking, being in the kitchen, and you need a proper good stand mixer for that."
"And what the Go series offers is actually a pretty unique blend of various bits of like, I just think really good sort of techie, but also lifestyle-esque ideas that might be very attractive to, I'm not going to say an amateur buyer, but someone who just wants a pretty cheap stand mixer that doesn't, that is semi-pretty and doesn't, you know, take off, just basically occupy a lot of kitchen sink space."
"So what is it?
As you can probably see, this is a lot smaller than your average stand mixer.
So it's actually just 30 centimeters tall and about 18 centimeters wide, and it is meant to be easier to store."
"And that is both something that you can see in its height and its width, but it's also just something that you can see in profile.
A lot of these stand mixers are really big, and they do that not because that they have increased effect from their wattage on the motors, but just because they're big."
"So the fact that Kenwood was able to slim it down to such a degree is really impressive.
And they do that without sacrificing too much space in the bowl.
It's a four liter bowl, which is actually enough for plenty, and you get, despite the fact that it's rather low, meaning that you can't fill this bowl all the way up, for instance, if you have a hook on for beating a dough, well, you probably won't get to fill it all the way up because it's just, it's more compact height wise, but it's still a four liter bowl and you get three attachments for it."
"So you get the K-beater, you get a hook for dough, and then you get a whisk.
So basically all of the stuff that you would normally use for a stand mixer like this.
And there's also an integrated measuring tool to know how much you're actually putting in.
The motor itself is an actual highlight because it's 800 watts."
"Now I looked around and I did that back then when we had the original version of the Go Series here in the Quick Look Studio.
And what I could find for the price of this was actually just, I think around 300, 500 watt-esque from competing brands like KitchenAid."
"So 800 watts is actually a really healthy amount of extra power, just to make sure that you're not going to see it succumb to harder tasks.
So it is incredibly simple stuff here.
I mean, you have a really simple lock mechanism and the way that you do this on the top, the way that you set the speed and intensity, it's a really simple dial here."
"If you're willing to pay a lot more, there's like options for displays on the side.
Again, there really is extra functionality here to be had, but do you need it?
That is the question, is it?
While some people might miss the tactility of having the screw dial on the side where it's bigger and you can feel those little bumps, this is just as good in my opinion."
"And honestly, while prices locally may vary, this is around what I would assume to be $400-ish, probably a lot less given the ratio in which currencies transfer from American USD to Danish Kroner, but here locally, this is an incredible bargain and I cannot recommend it enough.
See you on the next one."
