"I mean, sure, it looks less assuming, but I think that this is the way to go for Logitech's G series going forward.
Now this is the 98, I should stress that it comes in different formats depending on what kind of size you want, but the overall design and aesthetic is going to be the same."
"Now this, the G316X in this 98 version, simply just is a 98% format, that basically means that you get the numpad and you can cut that off if you don't want it.
So what is offered here?
I think the main thing still is this design."
"It looks almost Keychron-esque.
This lovely matte white here is very sort of, feels like a quality item, and these green accents here, it looks absolutely lovely.
I don't personally like a lot of the RGB stuff."
"You can get like 16 million colors through LightSync if that's what you want in the G Hub software suite, but I just like these small color accents here.
I think it makes for a really quality oozing kind of product.
Now on this particular keyboard, you get Logitech's own tactile switches, mechanical with a really high spring action."
"They feel very lovely and they offer up, through this wired connection here, 8,000 hertz of polling for near instantaneous 0.125 milliseconds worth of a response time, which ensures that every action is precise and fluid.
Now there is also something called a multi-layer gasket design, which ensures some structural integrity and rigidity without using screws and delivering that satisfying, Logitech themselves calls it thocky sound, an enhanced typing experience."
"Again, it seems that for a lot of typing enthusiasts or gaming keyboard enthusiasts, that sound is very important.
That therein lies that multi-gasket solution here.
Now obviously, you do get, it feels fairly simple when you look at it."
"You do get this little volume knob here, which says keep playing, which feels dumb, but the green color is lovely, obviously.
And this little black space in between here can actually turn into a sort of display, which I think is very neat indeed."
"I do think that this very square-ish stancing feels very nice overall.
And if you just look at the way that the RGB lights up there, where it essentially is one big strip here, which you can customize yourself if that's what you want, and also per key through the translucent lettering on each key, it feels like a pretty simple keyboard to me that offers up specifications that are gamer worthy, but in this really unassuming package, which I really like."
